About the event

Mobility has become quite a buzz word in our contemporary, slightly more immobile society.  No one likes the idea of fitness or exercise, but mobility we somehow can get on board with, and for good reason!  Mobility simply put is the ability to move your body naturally.  Of course, before your desk bound jobs and seatbelt locked cars, moving our body fit much more naturally in our day to day lives.   Yoga has the capacity to increase mobility in all of its aspects: muscle strength, range of motion, endurance capacity, physical stamina, balance and coordination.  In this two day training we will look at yoga through the lens of mobility of taking joint movements into end range of motion to increase joint strength and flexibility through the coronal plane.  We will study the post-classical era of yoga which begins to integrate more and more the non-dualistic ideas of holistic practice.  This weekend also gets colorful with the introduction of the chakra system.
