Choose your pace:

Weekend trainings are formatted as individually contained modules so you can choose your pace for completing all ten. It is recommended that you choose one cycle or intensive study to complete so that you will study along with fellow seekers in one cycle, however, you do have the option to extend your training. If you are choosing an Extended Module Cycle or any variation outside of a set cycle, please communicate with lead trainers in advance to secure your spot in all 10 training modules.

Your Mini-Guide:

The Self-Improvement training series is for those who desire the space and time for in-person explanations with master teachers.  The commitment and time set-aside of 10 in-person weekend trainings allows for you to fully immerse yourself in the teachings of yoga. 

 

The weekends then become your mini-guide to the why’s and how’s of practicing yoga for self-improvement.  You will gain the confidence to develop your personal practice at home built on sound principles and self-inspection, all the while leaning on your personal intuition based on information received from Complete Yoga.

SELF IMPROVEMENT-
Refund Policy

Refund Policy: Refund requests must be made in writing. Refunds are available only to participants who pay in full. Refunds are not available to participants on payment plans. Deposits are non-refundable but may be applied toward upcoming Complete Yoga Trainings scheduled within one year of date of payment but not beyond and can only be rescheduled once. Deposits are not transferable to different participants. Full refund will be remitted to original payment source up to 30 days before the training minus 10% processing fee. If within 30 days of the start of the training program or after the start of the training up to one half of the total hours paid for, up to 50% but no more of the total training cost paid will be refunded to the original payment source. There will be no refund after the participant has attended more than 50% of the training hours and remainder of the cost will not be applicable to any subsequent training. Complete Yoga Training reserves the right to cancel any training before it begins. In that case any payments applicants have made will be refunded in full. In case a participant needs to withdraw from the training due to illness, accident, death in the family, or other extreme mitigating circumstances that make it impractical for the student to complete the course, the program will provide a reasonable and fair refund. No refunds will be given if the program removes a student from the program for bad conduct. Bad conduct is violation of the Code of Conduct, harassment, bullying, or any other behavior that is inappropriate or disruptive to the welfare of the program or to fellow students.

PROGRAM

MODULE CYCLES

TRADITIONAL MODULE CYCLE is 5 months. We offer a Cycle One at the beginning of the year and Cycle Two at the end of the year.

 

EXTENDED MODULE CYCLE can extend your certification/self-improvement over one calendar year from the start date of your modules, completing modules according to your schedule.  You will need to sign up in advance for the dates for the whole year in order to reserve your spot.  To choose this option you will need to contact us via email to be registered.

Throughout the entire year COMPLETE YOGA training will hold in-person book clubs for those interested in discussing yogic principles together while reading some of the suggested and required books from the COMPLETE YOGA training. 

 

You do not have to be signed up in a training to attend bookclub.  If the book interests you, come and join the community!  Reading guides and questions will be posted to CYT Instagram @completeyogatraining 

 

Book Clubs are Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm- 8pm

Throughout the entire year, in partnership with Yoga Collective Oahu, COMPLETE YOGA training will hold in-person book clubs for those interested in discussing yogic principles together while reading some of the suggested and required books from the COMPLETE YOGA training. 

 

You do not have to be signed up in a training to attend bookclub.  If the book interests you, come and join the community!  Reading guides and questions will be posted to CYT Instagram @completeyogatraining

SUMMER RETREATS

During the SUMMER RETREAT TRAINING we offer an intensive format with 10 day, 100 hour Trainings. 


Location for 2024 is TBD but dates are set: 

BEGINNERS MIND INTENSIVE includes Modules 1-5; Wellness & Discipline, Structural, Stability, Mobility, and Mindful Yoga.

SPECIALIZED YOGA INTENSIVE includes Modules 6-10; Flow, Strength, Therapeutic, Integrated, and Developmental Yoga.

To become certified you must attend both weekends and submit homework and practicum hours within one calendar year of training.

  • As they are taught in the Yoga Sutra-s of Patañjali, these terms build the philosophical basis for the weekend and tie together concepts within yogic techniques learned.

  • Each weekend will introduce within the chronological teachings passed down through the rich history of yoga from early Vedanta to the current day.  Students will become familiarized with major movements in thinking and moving throughout yoga’s varied history.

  • Based on exercise science, each weekend will focus on movement principles to inform the use of asana, kriya, and class design for safer and more adaptable yoga practice.

  • Topics relative to the practice of yoga and a healthy lifestyle.  Introductory overview of such topics offer a foundation for deeper exploration and awareness of how structures of the physical body are benefited through yogic practice.

  • As known through the traditional science of yoga will be presented with simplified instructions and guidelines for practice and teaching as well as information regarding appropriate preparation and development for the practice.

  • Presented for the developing practitioner, guiding principles will be outlined for individuals to develop an individually meaningful personal practice and ability to share the techniques with understanding of benefits of the practice.

  • From vedic, upanishad, sutra, and yogic tradition will be presented in Sanskrt, Devanagari, English poetic translation, and key terms explained.  Recordings will be made available after the weekend module of the specific pronunciation and tonal variations for individual continued practice.

  • For each module are listed.  Aspiring registered yoga teachers will be required to read either on their own or in book club format 3 full suggested texts before receiving their certificate.

  • Overviews and templates will be included in each module to help the practitioner develop the technical aspects of sharing yoga with others as well as practicing yoga as intentional and specific.

  • For each module is given for accountability assistance in incorporating skills learned into a personal practice. Homework is not meant to ‘test’ knowledge or affirm any ‘correct’ way of thinking, rather homework is for the practitioner to continue the process of exploration of how principles and techniques are felt as true through their own practice.  For aspiring registered yoga teachers homework is required and must be remitted to the lead trainers with the option to receive feedback and continued guidance toward deeper, meaningful, personal practice.

These texts will be used as learning guides during the training weekends and will continue to support your individual growth as at home tools.  Texts are not provided, you must purchase  them on your own.

Teaching weekends give a COMPLETE understanding of how all things taught support each other.  We focus on teaching principles of yoga techniques that create opportunities for deeper understanding and advancing your practice. You will understand the scope of yoga with information about various practices and how to practice them yourself, then teach them to others. Each weekend divides the time and teachings according to Yoga Alliance guidelines as follows:
