About the event
Yoga benefits the brain. From the physical exercise to the relaxation techniques, a mindful yoga practice increases mental health and overall wellness. This weekend is specifically designed to understand the benefits and intention of a complete Mindful Yoga practice. We will learn about Brain development and Neuroplasticity and how yogic concepts such as Samskara helps us to rewire the brain. We will explore together how to balance the hemispheres of the brain through Alternate Nostril Breathing - nadi Shodhana - and walking meditation. You will leave this training knowing how to decrease suffering and pain through the philosophy of Kleśa-s and mindfulness. As a yoga practitioner and teacher you will understand how to create yoga materials with intention including yin and restorative yoga poses.

- Introduction to Yin and Restorative Yoga
- Stretching the connective tissues through yoga
- Understand how the mind-body connection actually works
- Chant for unity with ‘Asato Ma’

- All about the Brain and how to change your mind
- What are appropriate ways to offer assistance in yoga
- Yoga Poses Taught and their key concepts - Seated Forward Fold, Reclined Twist, Poses of the sages Marichi, Bharadvajra, and Matseyendra, Tortoise pose, Rotated triangle, supported pigeon, and more.
